3 delicious patin fish recipes you can make at home

1. Ginger scallion fish


    ● 1 kg of patin fish
    ● 6 tablespoons of ginger scallion sauce
    ● 2 tablespoons garlic in garlic oil
    ● 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
    ● ½ of light soy sauce
    ● ¼ of sesame oil
    ● ¼ cup of water
    ● 1 cup of parsley cut into an inch length
Steps to cook it:
    Step 1: Thawed the fish, wash, and clean to prepare for cooking
    Step 2: Heat the pan to medium to high heat and pour in the ginger scallion sauce, garlic with garlic oil, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
    Step 3: Mix them well
    Step 4: Slowly add in the ¼ cup of water
    Step 5: Put the cut-off stem of parsley into the mixture and bring it to boil
    Step 6: Stir the mixture so it is mixed well and give it a taste to see if anything is needed Note: The sauce need to be salty to balance the patin fish fatty meats
    Step 7: If the taste is to your liking, add in the fish you had washed earlier
    Step 8: Make the fish even on the pan and add in the rest of the parsley
    Step 9: Cover the pan with the lid and wait for 2 minutes

If the fish is fully white, that's how you know the fish is fully cooked. Transfer it to the plate and serve it with white rice or anything you prefer!

2. Sweet and sour patin fish soup


    ● 500g of patin fish
    ● 700 ml of water
    ● 4 pieces of saw leaves
    ● ½ yellow onion
    ● 2 lime juice
    ● 1 tomato
    ● 3 lemongrass
    ● 2 slices of young galangal
    ● 5 pieces of red bird's eye chili
    ● 6 pieces of kaffir lime leaves
    ● 2 tbsp of fish sauce
    ● 1/4 tsp of salt
    ● 1 tbsp of sugar
Steps to cook it:
    Step 1: Wash the fish clean and sprinkle some salt on it
    Step 2: put the 700 ml water into the pot together with lemongrass, young galangal, kaffir lime leaves, yellow onions, and chilies, cover the lid and turn on the heat to bring it to boil.
    Step 3: After 5 minutes of boiling, put in the fish sauce and sugar then let it boil vigorously
    Step 4: When it is boiling vigorously, put in the fish and the tomatoes, cover the lid, and let it boil for two more minutes
    Step 5: When it is boiling vigorously again that is when the fish is fully cooked, turn off the heat
    Step 6: Put in the lime juice and saw leaves

Now you can serve the soup with anything you desire!

3. Fry patin fish with gingers


    ● 500g of patin fish
    ● Ginger slices
    ● ¾ cup of water
    ● 1 red chili
    ● 1 stalk/30g parsley
    ● 1/4 tsp of salt
    ● 1 tbsp of garlic in oil
    ● 1/2 tbsp of light soy sauce
    ● 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
    ● 1/4 tsp of sesame oil
    ● oil for deep frying
Steps to cook it:
    Step 1: wash and clean the fish, pat it dry
    Step 2: Preheat the pan with oil
    Step 3: Fry the ginger slices till golden brown
    Step 4: Deep fry the patin fish pieces for about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove them from the pan.
    Step 5: In another pan, put the garlic with garlic oil and a little bit of the fried ginger. Put in the chilies, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, and the stem part of the parsley
    Step 6: Add in the water after a bit of stirring and the sesame oil, bring it to boil
    Step 7: When the mixture is boiling, add the parsley leaves
    Step 8: After a few minutes of stirring, add in the fried fish and fried ginger, give them a mix
    Step 9: Taste it before turning off the heat and enjoy it with white rice!
